Mother's Day!!

 Mother’s Day is a special occasion celebrated globally, but it maintains special significance in the hearts of Filipinos. In the Philippines, Mother’s Day is not just a day for mothers; it's a day to honor all motherly figures, including grandmothers, aunts, and godmothers. Families often gather to represent gratitude, love, and appreciation through different motions such as preparing special meals, giving heartfelt gifts, or organizing outings. It’s a time for reflection on the sacrifices and unconditional love that mothers provide.

Traditional Filipino celebrations of Mother’s Day often affect a blend of everyday practices and indigenous customs. One common tradition is the preparation of a unique dinner featuring Filipino delicacies and favorite dishes of the honored mother figure.

 Another tradition is the giving of "mano po," a gesture of respect where younger family members take the hand of their elders and press it to their forehead as a sign of reverence and love. Additionally, it’s familiar for families to attend Mass or hold a prayer service to offer thanks for the blessings of motherhood.
